Megan Harrold graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University’s department of Dance and Choreography. She has been an artist at residency at the Klaustierd Foundation in Iceland, Newsteps at the Chen Dance Center NY, Le Feil Artist Residency in France, The Groundwork Residency Program at Cora Studios NY, The Ucross Foundation in Wyoming, and invited to the International Studios at Denkmalschmiede, Germany. She founded Inimois Dance in 2008 with composer Charlie Rauh which has been funded by Meet the Composer, Queens Council on the Arts (Individual Artist Fellowship), Fractured Atlas and the Untitled SOF grant. Charlie and Megan's collaborations have been presented in a variety of places from Lincoln Center to tire factories. Her choreographic work has been seen nationally in New York, Maryland, Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia, Wyoming, and Illinois. Internationally Megan’s work has been performed in Mexico, Iceland, Amsterdam and France.
Guitarist Charlie Rauh has been awarded grants from such organizations as Meet The Composer, The Fractured Atlas Group, The Untitled Artists Group, The Herndon Arts Council, The Queens Arts Council, and The International Studios at Denkalschmeide Hofgen. Master improviser Connie Crothers notes Rauh as "a true musician with an originality that is deeply personal", while virtuoso composer/pedal steel guitarist Susan Alcorn describes his creative approach as "a rare combination of discipline, attention to detail, and impeccable taste." In collaboration with choreographer Megan Harrold he has served as composer in residence at The Klaustrid Foundation-Iceland (Sept. 2010), The Chen Dance Center-NYC (Oct./Nov. 2011), and Le Feuil-France (Aug./Sept. 2012). Rauh has worked with such artists as Ingrid Laubrock, Abigail Breslin, Michael Hafftka, Noël Akchoté, and Cornelius Eady - His compositions have been featured on NPR's Live in Studio C program and WUSB's Jazz On The Air program as well as in venues such as Merce Cunningham Studio, The Kitchen, Alice Tully Hall Lincoln Center, The Chocolate Factory, The Stone, The Rubin Art Museum, and the Shapeshifter Lab. His debut solo release on Composers Concordance Records/Naxos will be released May 26th, 2015
